OathPath

Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026

OathPath (“the app”) is made by NextAppFactory LLC (“we”, “us”). The app is built to need as little of your information as possible. We do not sell your information.

In short
  1. Your cases, notes and study progress are stored only on your phone.
  2. A receipt number leaves your phone only to look up that case’s status with USCIS.
  3. Feedback you choose to send reaches us, with receipt numbers removed first.
  4. You can export or delete everything from Settings at any time.

1. Information stored on your phone

The following stays on your device. There is no OathPath account, and this information is not uploaded to us:

2. Information that leaves your phone

Case status lookups

When the app checks a case automatically, it sends that case’s receipt number (and, if you added them, its form type and interview date) over an encrypted connection to our server, which runs on Google Cloud. Our server asks the official USCIS Case Status API for the status and passes the answer back to the app. We do not keep receipt numbers in a database. Our hosting provider keeps routine request logs, which can include the receipt number, for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting, and then deletes them. USCIS handles the request under its own policies.

If automatic checks are not available, the app shows the status you enter yourself and nothing is sent.

Feedback and problem reports

If you use “Send feedback”, “Status look wrong? Tell us” or “Report this question”, we receive:

Anything in your message that looks like a receipt number or an A-number is removed on your phone before it is sent. Reports pass through our company website (nextappfactory.com) and are stored in Google Cloud Firestore. We use them only to reply to you and to fix and improve the app, and we keep them only as long as they are needed for that.

Purchases

OathPath Pro is sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment; we receive only whether Pro is active on your device. We never see your payment details.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device and usage information to show and measure ads, as described in Google’s policy. Your device’s advertising identifier is available to it only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. Pro removes ads.

Notifications

Status alerts and study reminders are scheduled on your phone. No notification server receives your case details.

5. Children

OathPath is meant for adults preparing for U.S. citizenship and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Security

Information sent by the app travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). USCIS API credentials are kept on our server and are never stored in the app.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and its effective date, and point out important changes in the app.
